Dr. Mariam Mohamad /Senior Lecturer

Dr. Mariam Mohamad is a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Instructional Technology & Multimedia, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia. She earned her PhD in Mobile Learning from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom. Her research focuses on mobile learning, mobile assistive technology, and technology-enhanced education for learners with special needs, including dyslexia, speech delay, and autism. Dr. Mohamad has led numerous funded research projects supported by the Ministry of Education Malaysia, the Japan Foundation, and the Sumitomo Foundation. She has supervised over 30 postgraduate students (9 PhD completed, 21 ongoing) and has published more than 80 academic papers in international journals and conferences. A highly recognized scholar, she has received multiple awards, including the National Industry Expert Award from the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia, and has been invited as keynote or plenary speaker at more than 30 international conferences across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Dr. Mohamad is also actively involved in community service as an advisor for the Special Need Students Association at USM and a committee member of the Malaysian Association for the Blind, demonstrating her commitment to inclusive education.
