Prof. Sun Daner /Associate Professor & Associate Head

Dr. Sun Daner is an Associate Professor and Associate Head in the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). Prior to joining EdUHK, she served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Learning Sciences Lab, NIE, NTU, Singapore. Dr. Sun’s research expertise lies in artificial intelligence in education, emerging technologies, science education, STEM education. She is Principal Investigator for RGC General Research Fund (GRF) projects. She has published over 80 journal articles, the majority of which appear in SSCI-indexed leading journals. She currently holds Editor in chief of Research and Practice in Technology Enhanced Learning, Associate Editor for Education and Information Technologies, Educational Technology & Society and, and serves on the editorial boards of TPE, JRST and JOST. Her academic achievements have been recognized through awards, including: President's Award for Outstanding Performance in Research: Early Career Research Excellence Award (2022/23); APSCE Early Career Researcher Award (2022); President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Knowledge Transfer (Team Award) (2019/20); Dean's Research Output Prize (2021/22, EdUHK). Dr. Sun is actively engaged in academic leadership and scholarly communities. She served as the International Program Committee (IPC) Chair for GCCCE 2025 and as a member of the Executive Committee of the Asia-Pacific Society for Computers in Education (APSCE).
