Prof. Chen Zan /Associate Professor

Talk Title: Teaching in the age of AI: From automation to educator–AI co-Intelligence

Dr. Chen Zan is currently Associate Professor at the Institute for Adult Learning, Singapore University of Social Sciences. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Tianjin Foreign Studies University and her Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, with extensive teaching and research experience in both Chinese and Singaporean higher education institutions. Her research focuses on adult education and training, teacher professional development, AI in higher education and training, work motivation, and job satisfaction. She has edited and co-authored several books published by Routledge, published extensively in leading international journals including Frontiers in Neuroscience, Asia Pacific Education Review, and Journal of Education Policy, and led major research consultancy projects commissioned by Singapore government bodies and public organizations. She also serves as Asian Network Coordinator of Research Network 3 at the ASEM LLL Hub, Associate of the Centre for Higher Education Transformations (CHET) at the University of Bristol, and Editor-in-Chief of Educational Management and Policy, enjoying wide influence in international adult education and lifelong learning research.
