Talk Title: Empowering Medical Simulation Education and Training with Large Language Models
Prof. Huiqun Wu, PhD in Medical Informatics and is a doctoral supervisor, currently serving as the Professor and Vice Dean of the School of Medicine, Nantong University. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of Southern California (USA) and La Trobe University (Australia), and is a recipient of the "Young and Middle-aged Academic Leaders Program" of Jiangsu Provincial Universities and a talent training object of Nantong's "226 Project". His long-term research focuses on clinical informatics of diabetic panvascular lesions based on image big data, with remarkable academic achievements. He has published more than 30 SCI/EI papers as the first or corresponding author in journals, obtained 7 authorized invention patents, presided over 1 national key R&D program project, 4 National Natural Science Foundation projects, and multiple provincial and municipal scientific research projects. As a key contributor, he has won honors including the Second Class Award of Jiangsu Medical Science and Technology and the Third Class Award of Nantong Science and Technology Progress. Additionally, he holds multiple important academic positions, such as editorial board member of journals like Biomedical Statistics and Informatics, reviewer of renowned journals including BMJ, member of the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) and the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE), standing committee member of the Medical Informatics Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and chairman of the Nantong Medical Informatics Society. Prof. Wu actively participates in relevant domestic academic conferences and delivers keynote reports, teaches multiple online courses such as Evidence-Based Medicine, and guides students to win many awards including the Special Prize and Silver Award in national college student academic and technological competitions, demonstrating profound academic attainments and rich teaching practice experience.
